Deron R. Harrington
Attorney & Certified Public Accountant
Most people don’t need a huge law firm or a complicated accounting practice. They need one highly capable professional who can step in, assess the full picture, and give clear, steady guidance when life, taxes, business, or family matters get complicated.
That’s the role I fill.
As one of the rare dual-licensed Attorney–CPAs in the country, I bring together the precision of a CPA, the legal strategy of an attorney, and the real-world judgment that only comes from decades of hands-on experience. Clients describe me as calm, analytical, and quietly powerful — the person you want beside you when the pressure rises.
I work with people from all walks of life — teachers, nurses, retirees, young families, tradespeople, small business owners, and high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients who simply want capable, respectful help they can trust.
How I Help
- Individual and family tax preparation
- Small business and self-employed tax returns
- Back taxes, IRS notices, audits, and payment plans
- LLC and S-Corp structure and tax strategy
- Cleaning up years of disorganized or late filings
- Wills, powers of attorney, and basic estate documents
- Probate guidance with clarity and compassion
- Asset protection for real-life risks
- Business contracts and disputes
- Business start-ups, formation, and launch planning
- Business purchases, sales, mergers, and acquisitions
- Litigation when a matter becomes serious
Many clients come to me anxious or overwhelmed. That ends quickly. I cut through the noise, explain what matters, eliminate what doesn’t, and give you a clear path forward. My clients routinely tell me they feel immediate relief once they understand the plan.
Why Clients Place Serious Matters in My Hands
I’m not a tax preparer who dabbles in law, and I’m not a lawyer who “knows some tax.” I’m fully trained, fully licensed, and deeply experienced in both disciplines. This gives clients an uncommon advantage:
- I prevent tax problems from becoming legal problems.
- I strengthen legal decisions by understanding their tax consequences.
- I handle IRS matters personally — not through assistants or outside counsel.
- I see your entire life, business, and financial picture as one integrated system.
Clients often describe me as providing “quiet power” — calm focus, steady judgment, and the ability to simplify even the most tangled issues.
A Deeper Advisory Capability When You Need It
Because of my background, I frequently guide clients beyond basic filings and into more complex planning:
- Multi-year tax planning and strategy
- Trusts, LLCs, and asset structures
- Family Office–style management
- Business start-ups, development, and long-term launch planning
- Business formation, contracts, and succession planning
- Business purchases, sales, mergers, and acquisitions
- Coordination of personal and business finances
- Serious IRS representation
- Courtroom strategy and litigation
I don’t posture or grandstand. My style is deliberate, precise, and effective.
Where This Depth Comes From
My career spans all sides of the tax and legal world — and that matters.
I’ve worked in public accounting, where precision and discipline are essential.
I’ve served in executive financial roles, seeing firsthand the pressures businesses face.
I’ve operated as in-house general counsel, solving problems before they explode.
And I’ve built years of experience in private practice, advocating for individuals, families, and entrepreneurs.
Combined, this gives me a rare, fully integrated understanding of the tax, legal, and financial challenges my clients face.
Before entering professional practice, I served both as an Infantry enlisted soldier and a Field Artillery Officer in the U.S. Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve, earning my commission through Officer Candidate School. That military foundation shaped my approach: disciplined, steady, mission-focused, and committed to the people I serve.
Academically, I hold a degree in Accounting, advanced graduate work in tax and finance, and a law degree. I’m licensed as an Attorney and CPA in both Texas and Oklahoma and admitted before multiple state and federal courts, including the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. Supreme Court.
My Commitment
My commitment is simple: to protect you, to guide you, and to remove the stress from your tax and legal life so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.
Whether you’re organized or overwhelmed, ahead or behind, starting out or starting over — you’re in the right place. I’ll help you get things sorted out and give you a steady path forward, one step at a time.
